New York Local Law 84 is laws that form a part of the present energy laws. This legislation was passed in 2009, also covers buildings larger than 50,000 square feet in New York City. LL84 directs owners and directors of the affected structure to send an annual report to the city. This report details water and energy consumption in a process called benchmarking. Following the publishing of this story from the Energy and Water operation map, this statement is contained in the energy efficiency policy development. This procedure under the regional Law 84 New York is also included in other reports, e.g., the Building Technical Working group report. Last, the report is used in developing different sources within the City. These efforts are aimed towards helping property owners to reduce their use of power and save on financial resources.
